The Herb Garden
The herb garden has a chef’s array of herbs, growing in varying degrees of sunlight, just waiting to season culinary delights. Some of our customers utilize this garden on an emergency basis when they can’t find the herb they need at the grocery store. Herbs growing in this garden include Parsley, Garlic Chives, Dill, Marjoram, Rosemary, Mullein, and Mexican Oregano.

The Container Garden
The container garden is found at numerous locations around the nursery in the form of antique wheelbarrows, fancy pots, old shoes, cracked fountains, and any other vessel that will hold soil and drain. These containers are planted with a variety of annuals and or perennials. Most displays are not for sale but can be duplicated.

The Water Garden
A 4800-gallon two-tier pond and waterfall creates our water garden. It is set in a southwest riparian display that can be replicated in your back yard. The garden was ecologically designed with bio-filters and feeder fish to maintain the purity of the water and the health of the plants displayed. Both tropical and hardy varieties of marginal, bog, and floating plants can be seen in this display and are available for purchase. Water purifiers, test kits, plant soils, and containers are also available for purchase.

The Rose Garden
The rose garden attests to the fact that you can grow roses in a blast furnace! There are 18 roses in the garden including floribunda, hybrid tee, grand flora, climbers, and shrub. These roses are on a drip irrigation system that is watered according to seasonal needs. Major rose growers plead with us to test their new roses in this garden. In January each year we host a seminar to teach pruning and rose care. Roses are like a relationship; the more time you put into the care of the relationship the better it is.

The Desert Garden
The desert garden hosts low water use plants that tolerate full sun and bloom at various times throughout the year. The plants in this garden were selected because they attract birds and butterflies. You will find several varieties of penstemons, sages, cacti, agaves, wild flowers, and daleas all flirting with your senses.
