Potatoes, Onions great companion plants … we have ‘em
OK, so anyone and everyone who follows this blog knows it’s pretty much always a good time to plant a variety of things. Right now, it’s all about the onions and potatoes.
Late January to mid-February is the best time to get them in the ground.
So, of course, we have them. Come and get them.
And, yes, they grow well in these parts. Who would have thunk it? Right?
But potatoes and onions are tough cookies and can adapt to the local climes. They’re like the middle child – versatile.
We have Cal White and German Butterball in the house when it comes to the potatoes. As far as the onions are concerned we have Texas Early Whites, Red Southern Belles and Texas Super Sweet Yellow. Great variety.
They make super companion plants and, obviously, are great for cooking, eating and your passion for growing … Happy planting.
