Cool Climes Mean Winter Veggie Time
So, it’s the fall and, well, you can feel a cool breeze in the air.
Ok, you can imagine a cool breeze.
Actually, isn’t Tucson and southern Arizona one of the best places to be this time of year? It’s why you move here. Right?
But if you’re a gardener or at least making an attempt to be a gardener you’re finding out this is the P-E-R-F-E-C-T time to be working your craft or finding one. Now is the time to be talking winter – brrrr – veggies.
Now is the time for all these goodies:
- Radishes
- Broccoli
- Cauliflower
- Leaf Lettuces
- Spinach
- Kale
- Swiss Chard
- Carrots
- Seeds
As you see, there are a plethora of items that you can plant this time of year. It’s the perfect time for all of it. We have all the materials you need to get started and prepare for the winter. And, we’re getting a good shipment of veggie starts on Oct. 24 and we have plenty of seeds in now.
